Looseknit is the domain of Melbourne based designer and maker Natalie Lleonart. Gravitating towards ‘the dress up’, her inventive creations have included millinery, jewellery, knitwear and fashion, as well as collage.The creative realm has been her raison d’être since she was knee high to a Wallaby. It's no suprise she shares a birthday with Salvador Dali, during occasional Art Blackouts, she has chanelled his force.

Part bower bird, the materials Natalie favors generally come preloved - she can, on occasion, be spotted rummaging through skips for bright and shiny objects, though she is also fond of gold, yarn and glue.

Disciplines include 3D objects both hard & soft, 2D works on paper; computer and animation. Currently she divides her time between the disparate worlds of a crafts practice and web design.

Natalie resides in Elsternwick with a revolving cast of critters, harbors fantasies of becoming a hobby farmer and lives in hope that travel along the time/space continuum will soon be as easily manageable as the 67 tram route across town.
